How something earns a place on the shelf
Smell everything first
Nothing goes on the shelf that the whole team has not worn for a full day. Not a strip, not a demo in an air-conditioned room. On skin, in Accra heat, from morning to evening.
Buy small, buy often
We take a few hundred bottles of a batch at a time rather than a pallet. It means we sell out. It also means what reaches you was made this season, not left sitting in a warehouse for three years.
Say what it actually smells like
Where a house publishes its notes and concentration, so do we. Where it does not, the listing says nothing rather than making something up, and you can ask us instead.

Founded in Ghana, MacBancy builds its fragrances around the continent's own materials: rare herbs, spices and botanicals, worked into scents that carry a story. The house is openly trying to build an African fragrance hub, and the range runs from the Spirit of Timbuktu line through to boxed gift collections.

Marsandi bottles its eau de parfum under a leaping-cheetah mark and works in three lines. Golden Trail runs to three expressions in a squat apothecary flacon with a contrast cap, each boxed with its own desert artwork. Coercive Magnet is marked with two crowned faces meeting and held in a tall rectangular flacon with a black and gold cap. Colors of Niani is sold as boxed sets rather than single bottles.

Mars Dvsn grew out of Mars.Retail and works by collaboration: an idea becomes a product with another house rather than alone. UnCut Passion, made with Marsandi, is the first release, an extrait de parfum in a tall apothecary flacon.
